Faison is working with the Democrat Hemmer to recall the "Safe Storage Bill" that was laced with the Red Flag attempt by the Democrats.  With friends like that....

I am not sure how the left is able to parse the shooting at Covenant into a need for locking containers in a vehicle having any bearing on preventing that tragedy, but here you go, never let a crisis go to waste, and Faison is on board.

He joins all the Memphis Representatives and Senators, both Republican and Democrat to punish the innocent gun owner for the Crimes of the guilty...

I do leave mine in a lock box that is bolted down, but that's just me exercising common sense. I think punishing crime victims is stupid.

In light of the U.S. Supreme Court opinion in the Bruen case, I'm curious whether a prosecutor would be able to locate admissible evidence indicating that a secure storage requirement was a limitation on the right to keep and bear arms that was recognized at the time of the Founding.

My guess is that few if any colonies punished the victim of a theft for failing to bolt his musket down to his wagon.  This is getting absurd.

This may have already been discussed, but how are deer hunters or target shooters with long guns supposed to comply with this?  I assume the bill's author has handguns in mind, but it says firearms.

Am I the only one curious as to the reason behind the recent push to make law abiding citizens into criminals? I’m seeing this same type thing pushed hard on many fronts lately.
