Never been there but I feel all fancy and civilized reading your post.  It brings some class to the joint.  😀

I haven't been in about 5 years. It was a clean, modern facility. Expensive honestly. They had an RSO at the time that just said hello and let me shoot without playing at being "smartest man in the room". I can appreciate that.

The only real catch was that they charged a fee if you shoot plastic hanger they issue you. I think it was $8 per hole or something? No clue if they still do that. If you're a decent shot it's not a problem.

No complaints when I've gone in the past.  Standard enough on the layout and rules.  As mentioned, bit pricey, but not absurdly so...just enough to make you want to train with a purpose between that and the cost of ammo. 🤣

My only complaint was that they wouldn’t let me shoot my 9mm Tula steel cased ammo because the RO said it was a steel core penetrator round. Said it was sparking off the floor when I shot. I assured him that was not the case, but alas, not an argument I could win.

They seem to have more old guy ROs who like to sit on the stool and come close to dozing off, Royal seems to have more of the tactical young guys.

It’s only because the steel cases get mixed in with the brass they sweep up (or you if you follow the rules, lol) and sell.  Many ranges are like that, especially ones that have never heard of a magnet.

My favorite range has strong magnets on sticks. I've gone with only cheap steel cases before and was glad to never need to pick up brass.

shot there a handful of times, always a decent experience.  It is pricey as others have stated, but nothing outside of the usual brick and mortar gun store/range prices.
