Got this one in last week, it's a 22/32 Kit Gun Heavy Frame 22lr made in 1927. I'm going to get a S&W Letter on this one. Here's some pictures.20230404_135338.thumb.jpg.f656c13fc16b21ecf00592fdb595d94f.jpg20230404_135558.thumb.jpg.87f079fc2faf5ccbfd03b756f83dbd7c.jpg20230404_135346.thumb.jpg.e3481cf917cd42ce2e041ba5f67dab26.jpg20230404_135606.thumb.jpg.9cb51a34aed551cd27465b49a16405a2.jpg20230404_135436.thumb.jpg.874593b16a8b88f9081e86b7b0905511.jpg20230404_135811.thumb.jpg.a6962445ed0f7e64dcf196bbf0324c3c.jpg20230404_135715.thumb.jpg.fded4fc07d31a86813fc49cfc5722b2c.jpg20230404_135656.thumb.jpg.b056f31964759b6d436cea777c289e68.jpg

Thanks, I found another one in as good or a little bit better if it's still there after I pay the IRS 😡, I'm gonna get it. I lucked up on this one.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the short barreled I and J frame 22s were referred to as kit guns. Yours is a heavy frame target model. It looks to be a very nice example at that! I do not shoot high velocity ammo in mine. You will simply be amazed at the accuracy and smoothness of the action. It is hard to believe such fine craftsmanship could be had with the machinery available a century ago.

I find it comical such a small and dainty revolver was called a heavy frame, but compared to the tiny M frame lady smith also available at the time, it was just that.

I've found a couple more, but Mr. IRS took a good amount of my "gun funds" so I had to pass up some really good ones.

Seriously, you simply have to pick up some standard velocity target loads and give it a go. AMAZING!!!

Wife and I walked into a Summerville, SC Gun Shop ran by a couple of retired Navy Frogmen (pre-SEALs) and found her "Bekeart" (which was made too late to fit in the Bekeart S/N range). Hers was never in the fine shape yours is, but a good shooter, no doubt. In fact, she & I need to break that out and go shoot it some, brings back memories of a younger her & I walking down a twisted path in the woods to get to an old dump site and set up shotshells on the edge of an old washer and plink them off...
