I took took a couple to the range awhile back with a .380 and a 9mm. The husband decided to reload a mag while the wife was asking me questions. I just happened to glance back and realize he was loading .380 into my 9mm. luckily I caught him

380 is just a short 9 and will not drop thru-

I can not believe for 1 second that that damage was caused by a .40S&W that somehow beyond belief got stuck in a barrel that's .45 caliber-

I tried like a madman to get one stuck in a barrel of my own and voila-drops right thru everytime-

There is I will bet a part of this story being untold-

It it’s pointed straight down, yeah. It’s gonna drop straight through. What if the gun was never pointed down? What if he did the point at the ceiling, cool guy, slide rack? Say the mag had just enough tension to barely hold it then when it was inserted it let go of it. Slide is pulled back, .40 round pops up and the slide grabs the .45 round as it moves forward.  Then it goes into the barrel and gets pushed forward by the .45 round behind it. It was never stuck, but it just sat in front of the chambered round. Trigger gets pulled, kaboom!

I'm not getting any younger and arthritis sucks. I bet it'd be easier to load a 9mm w/out an Uplula if I used .380 instead.
