he had better hope thats what it is or his ratings will drop very fast

I don't know about that. I doubt many NASCAR supporters are Obama supporters to begin with but what do I know. Up until the last few weeks I did not think he would be elected either.

Something just doesn't smell right. Why would White House announce this and take the heat when the new CEO and board of directors of GM would seem to be the ones to make this statement.

Not much of a NASCAR fan anymore the COT lost me along with the cookie cutter tracks (except 2 or 3) and all the restrictions.

April fool? Don't know but if it is the joke will probably bite them because GM, under every scenario I can thank, of will eventually have to get out of NASCAR.--MP

what they do in NASCAR is simply advertising. I am leaning towards it being a joke but with the Big O there is no way to tell. Sounds like something the socialists would come up with.

I have Fox News on the TV and they have been talking about the auto makers but there is no mention of this. I would think if it was true they would be talking about it.

I'm not sure what it says about NASCAR fans that some of them actually got taken by this joke. :D

I think it says more about the feelings toward Obama that something like this is so believable.....:P

It says nothing more than if this had been printed a month ago everybody else here would have probably believed it too. I didn't even think about it being April fools until someone mentioned it earlier in the thread. I guess ya forget about those things once you're out of junior high. Well some of us at least.
