Kimber K6S

Does anyone here own a Kimber K6S?  What length barrel do you have and what do you think about it as a carry firearm?

Some of us just love revolvers!

Thank you, my friends!

Wish I could afford one.  They seem very well made and have not heard of any bad complaints.

Did notice that the DASA versions seem to have a light DA trigger pull.  At least the ones I drooled over recently at the gun stores.

I carry a snubbie 38 and love the 2" barrel.  For some reason the extra 1" makes a 3" a lot harder to conceal.  Any 2" barrel gun will have visible muzzle blast at night.  But to be honest, so have the 4" and 6" revolvers I have owned.  There is still enough barrel on a 2" snubbie to greatly exceed the performance of a 2" 38 spl.

btw, on revolvers the barrel length does not include the chamber.  So a 2" 38/357 revolver has a somewhat equivalent barrel length to a 3" 9mm

My comment was only concerning concealed carry.  If that is your aim, look for a good leather holster.  Holsters make a great difference for concealed carry.

I have the 2 inch barrel, I put the combat Kimber grips on it and I absolutely love it.

‘The quality surpassed anything I expected

Well guess what, just got one today

Mine is the hated and maligned K6xs which has the aluminum frame. It is also 38  spl +P   Trigger is subjectively better than the recent K6s da stainless I tried. Might break in to be as smooth as my SW Bodyguard 38.  It is much lighter than my Taurus 856 and about the same as SW Bodyguard 38 which is only 5 rounds and has a polymer frame.

Front sight is not replaceable but quite nice as is...orange reflective dot

These are much overlooked by buyers, partially due to micro 9’s being cheaper and holding more rounds.   They work for me due to my classic, and manly, hourglass figure  🙀

I like it will post a range report on it later.

I have the 4” combat version and got the kimber  pancake holster off their website.  It is very thin and comfortable to carry.  I was amazed because some revolvers carry like a fat girlfriend.
