I was thinking he just needs to bite the bullet and buy a wire EDM machine.

Yes, you just can't turn the EDM up too loud when you're doing the EDM - it messes all kinds of stuff up.

EDM drill is the way to go on this.

me, after walking away from my thread for a few days....

I know, it's killing everyone. I'll get it fixed, may try the diamond bit suggestion over the break. Adulting is difficult and time consuming.

The remaining portion of the allen wrench may be hardened so a good centerdrill may be the ticket.
