WANTED: WTB Armalite AR-50A1

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I got a deal on some 50BMG ammo a couple years ago, but have nothing to shoot it in. I would love a Barrett M82-A1, but I'm pretty sure my wife would quite literally kill me if she found out I spent that much on a rifle. So I've decided I want an Armalite AR-50A1 instead. I thought I would see if anyone has one they would part with before I go buy a new one. Don't need glass since I bought a scope for the potential rifle last year.

So, anybody got a spare one gathering dust they want to sell?

⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.

For the love of God man, show your wife the youtube video “My 50 cal exploded”- by Kentucky Ballistics.  After seeing this video, my wife immediately bought me my new Barrett M-82A & had me sell my single shot bolt action .50 -there are even sequels to that video.  I’m not a slight built guy by any standard, but I don’t think that I would have survived such an incident. Semi-auto has a lot of built in protection against catastrophic drama like that.  Go luck & please be safe shooting my favorite caliber.  I know that I have an all day smile when I do 10 round mag dumps into my old bus & car targets 😉

Nothing but smiles shooting a 50😀

Have you touched or shot a Armalite?

A friend had an Armalite a few years ago that I shot a couple of times. Like I said above, I would really prefer a Barrett m82, but rather not spend that amount of $$ on a rifle that, in all reality, will see very little use.  I've been kicking myself for missing out on the one that sold here for a great price a few weeks ago.

You must be talking about Joe's gun that sold here, I remember seeing bare bone 82's selling a few yrs ago cheap.
