Yet another "where is cheap ammo?" Thread

I should say "least expensive ammo". It seems the days of cheap ammo have gone bye-bye.  I do not think I have bought any ammo, besides 22LR, in several years. I have also done minimal shooting in that time, maybe just a couple of times a year. I hope to change that, so I just ordered 1000 rounds PMC 223 from PSA.  Total of 483$ taxed and delivered.

Did I overpay? I go to the wikiarms site and see 36 cents per round, but it is 80$-90$ delivery for 1000 rounds. Delivery from PSA was 25$. I guess that is the game. 

I'm also looking for 9mm. PSA has a case of independence for 350$ out the door, I haven't ordered that one yet, I think I can do better.

I've seen some 9mm "daily deals" on Ammoland.com, prices around $.28 per.

Unknown shipping cost, I haven't clicked through.

I buy most everything through ammoseek.  Currently 9mm is running about $0.15/round and .223 is running $0.30.  Every now and then you find free or very reasonable shipping.

Shipping costs is one thing you really gotta watch when ordering on-line. Quite often low prices also have  ridiculous shipping costs. Ammoseek.com lists price per round along with a shipping rating. Always check.

Palmetto is a great place to buy ammo.  Take a look at SG ammo as well.  Have done Lotsa business with both.

Man, I used to get some killer deals from LAX but at some point they joined forces with freedom munitions (I don't know the details there) and it seems to have gone downhill from that point.

About once or twice a year I would order a case of Sellier and Bellot 9mm, and it was stupid cheap.

I just bought 1000 rounds of. 9 mm  Blazer 124 grain  at gun show for  280.  OTD  best deal I could find . Other Vendors wanted 300 for reloads
