Last bullet jam

Recommended Posts

USP .40. The last bullet in the clip is jamming the slide. This happened twice in about 150 rounds yesterday. Both times it was the last bullet. That may just be a coincidence. My first guess is that the spring in the clip is worn out. This is a very old mag. Any ideas why the last bullet might jam?

Thanks for the Wolff suggestion. I just bought two new factory H&K mags. I was really excited about the price ($13 each), but a little dismayed when they arrived and I realized they were ban-era 10 round mags. I like the idea of the larger capacity for my primary clip, but also like reliability, even in a range gun. Therefore, I think the $10 for the wolff spring will be money well spent.

There's not a darn thing wrong with a ten round range mag. CDNN sells 10 round MecGar's for the 9mm Browning Hi Power brand new for ten bucks and they're very popular around here.
