Maybe because the ammo is still  flying off the shelves at the posted prices?  There's not much incentive for any retailer to lower prices as long as the sales volume stays relatively constant ...

Spot on! As long as we, the ammo buying public, keep paying too much we’re telling them that it’s NOT “too much”…

yep, about cheap enough for me to buy ammo, pull the bullets and punch the primers for my reloads 😝

Tempting isn't it 🤔

It's almost to my purchase point as well... for 9mm that is.

Hope I don't miss the window.

I'll drop a +1 for AEAmmo. I use the "CF/F" filter on Ammoseek since I'm tired of trying to optimize shipping costs, and AE is usually among the cheaper cost per round options. They ship very fast too, I think I had my last order in 3 days.

SGAmmo has been good for surplus ammo and some of the less common calibers for me.

Hopefully not a dumb question, but what is "CF/F" filter?

Ammo may go up or down in price, but it nevers loses value.

Lol, I did this with some 300WM sometime last year. All I could find was some junk federal soft point rounds for fairly cheap, so I bought 300 rds of it and started pulling bullets and dumping powder. I did learn something from this, and that was it's no wonder that cheap factory ammo sucks, in one box of 20rds there was a 1.1gr variance🤯. I also learned that Federal brass SUCKS!!! 2 reloads and primers were falling out of the pockets.

I purchased a 1000 Blaser Brass 9 MM 115 Gr ammo at Buds Guns, in Pigeon Forge for 249.00 per box last fall. Thought it was a fair price and I did not need to pay shipping on it. The under 10.00 per box of 50 is long gone and IMO won't ever be back.

Edited to add; Been purchasing quality 9MM S D ammo for water jug test when the weather is a little cooler. Want to try my new Max 9 to my SW MP 2.0 pistols.  Want to see if Winchester, Federal, Hornady, Cor Bon, Buffalo Boar, Remington, and Speer live up to the hype. Took me a while to collect all these.  Kids will play!

Got an email today from AIM Surplus.  They have some different types/brands of 9mm listed for $11.95 - I do remember seeing a couple of types of Remington ammo listed, may be others.  Didn't really pay much attention, as I'm not in the market for any right now ...
