How long do you think you can keep pedaling to keep that computer battery charged? Seriously, though, watch out for God's vacuum cleaners.

That must've been what the weather radio was beeping about a few minutes ago. Just some heavy rain so far, hopefully that's all we'll see of it.

Edited to add, I just got up to go look out the window. The gravel road's under water, the pond is overflowing (not related to the road), and it's really coming down. I think I'm going to go put some rain gear on and move that bobcat into the barn.

smart a** comment. if financial possible one should always have a small generator and the basic necessities on hand at all times. as a side note i thought i was prepared for the 93 storm in east tn and i wasnt. i did survive better than most in my area.

Well, our power finally came back on sometime after midnight. I got tired of waiting, so I went to bed.

No tornado, but lots of rain, hail and wind. Don't see any real damage. Just a few tree branches/limbs on the ground.

Coleman lantern (or lamp - years ago they made table and wall lamps). Coleman stove. No power = no problem.

Of course, I could be biased. I collect them - have maybe 300 lanterns.
