New old school!  I love it.  Actually, would not mind at all to add an A2 and even an A1 to my collection.

During Desert Storm. I deployed with a what I'd call a hybrid.  It was an A1 with the round A2 handguards and A2 heavy barrel, but with an A1 receiver.  When we deployed through Ft. Bragg, they took all our old A1s and repaired and upgraded them. Amazingly enough, they did that in a matter of two or three weeks.  I thought that was phenomenal feat considering we were a battalion of 760 personnel!

Newish.  The aimpoint is the newest thing on the rifle and that’s still at least 20 years old.  I love old a1 and a2 rifles.  Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy all the newest tactical stuff but I love the old big guys too.
