I went to walmart on brainerd road tonight with my family and as occasionally happens, I got into a conversation with a nice older black lady that was checking us out. I told her that I carry and that I wish that more would. She said that she had heard that people could not carry in there because there is a bank inside, but that a nice older man with grey hair came in there regularly OC with a shoulder holster (Someone on here maybe?). I had a good discussion with her and told her that to my knowledge that there is no crime carrying there, bank or not and that I think we can carry in a bank too unless it is posted. She said that she was in a neighborhood that had a home invasion and that the police told their neighborhood committee that they need to arm themselves in their homes. She ended with "I wish there were more nice people that came in here carrying, I sure feel safer knowing that you have it."

She was talking about some text message that was going around that said there was some gang supposed to be shooting up the place as an initiation (it is a hoax, but it only takes one idiot to think, "hey, that's a good idea"). I just told her that we were 4 ppl that were not going to be victims to any of that and I talked to her about being glad that walmart does not prohibit guns because I would not be coming there if they did. and in the conversation it came up. Super nice lady, but I must say, I didn't expect her to take well that I carry...She liked the fact though!
