Still trying to get car in driveway

Recommended Posts

Ground. Side streets and driveway white. We have over a half inch  not to much but it’s 24 degrees here so it has turned to ice under snow. Glad I don’t have to get out  plenty of food And. the power is on.     Nice to look at  so counting my blessings

We got about an inch just south of you.  Started around 2pm, and was still snowing (lightly) at bedtime last night.  Road in our subdivision is covered, as is the driveway, did not hear much traffic out but school is out and gubermint offices still closed here, so.

The roads in Knoxville are a mess. My neighborhood had at least 10 abandoned vehicles. I had to push a guy in a 2WD pickup earlier. I'll never own a 2WD truck.

I went for a quick ride on the Sting earlier.

Here in metropolitan Hebbertsburg we got just a dusting of new snow. Maybe 1/4 inch.

I used to LOVE to take my KDX-220 out on the trails in the snow. I'd ride it until I could no longer operate the controls. It's SO easy to hang the back end way, way out without much fear of crashing. Erik, you inspired me, I think I'll break out my trials bike and play for a little while.

You need

1. A tractor with a bucket

or

2. A 4x4 truck or AWD car

Been. telling the wife about needing a 4x4 truck. She’s not going for it lol

The roads around here are almost entirely clear, the exceptions being a few places where water runs across the road and has frozen thickly. I'm probably going to ride my motorcycle to racquetball in the morning.

Show her this. My wife took this video of me pulling a guy up our hill in my 2002 Tundra. This was the 2nd 2WD truck I had to help.

Good tires are important too. I never even spun a tire while doing this.

Did you have extra weight in the back?

Good tires plus very slow and steady is the trick. Lots of people don't have the patience or touch with the throttle to go super slow. They want to go faster so they spin the tires  which is counter-productive.

I bet most people have no idea why there are two extra setting past D or ever used them.

No. Just my camper shell which probably helps a little. The guy I was pulling had pallets in his bed but it didn't do him a lot of good. Pretty sure his tires were bald.

We ride SurRons all the time out here in Chattanooga! We have 4 of them, with mild upgrades. Why do you call it a Sting? Your nickname for the Light Bee?

Get yourself a good LED as the first upgrade. They are so fast, they can outrun that stock headlight at night.

It is a Talaria Sting.

Ahh, a few upgrades from Talaria I see. I did the same thing - literally imported my own container to my own specs and sold them through my gun store as the Stealth Bee. Battery, controller, lights, run silent/run dark mode, forks, and tires. We even got MARSOC to buy one, and we later saw the concept (not ours) in action in Ukraine.
