Spyderco Auto

Recommended Posts

Nice looking knife.  Are there mounting holes on the back to carry tip down ?

I usually have knife in right pocket and grab the hole in blade. So being an auto I’m thinking I’d still want tip down ?

Whats the blade made from ?

The first picture shows the only mounting hole option, the blade steel is LC200V some very durable non corrosive steel. The edge this knife came with is wickedly sharp,

the last two Spydercos I bought I have had no reason to improve the factory edge, they are razor sharp out of the box

This knife fires as hard as any Protech I have owned. It is truly a great heavy duty carry automatic knife I love it!

Sweet!. I’ve owned at least a dozen Spydercos over the years and have been impressed with the quality. They have been part of my EDC since the 2010s but I do find the idea of an automatic Spyderco redundant.I noticed they did include the hole but much smaller like the ones on their fixed blades.😂

I’ve had a Spyderco in that LC200V steel for a decade.  It’s my standard saltwater knife and has spent no less than 100 days fully submerged in the saltwater.  I run it under the faucet at the end of the day and oil It once a year or so. That blade has gutted hundreds of fish.  The blade is as good as it was new.

That steel may as well be magic.

I always liked Spyderco since my first endura in the 90s. I still have it and a couple dragons.
Now a days the Japan made Spyderco knives are pretty pricey.

I recently bought a couple of the Chinese made Spyderco knives just to check them out. They are not bad for the price.  But of course the Japan ones are far better.
