I had a Fobus holster for ages. It did me fine for what it was used for.

On "TGO David's" prodding I got a Blackhawk Serpa CQC. Really was impressed in the quality and adjustability of it.

Then on "TGO David's" prodding I got a Comp-Tac "M-Tac" holster... again really impressed with the quality, ability to adjust it to suit me, and the overall comfort it affords.

Don't really care about wearing the finish off of mine, but I can see where that can be a concern. Weapons are expensive. Even the Fobus (plastic) wore some of the finish off my HK. I think anytime you use a holster there will be some degree of wear.

The most important thing to take away from my post is that if you listen to "TGO David" enough he has a way of talking you into buying stuff. :D

He's sort of like a digital drinking buddy... "Ahhh come on! Get it! You know you want it! Geee Wizzz guy... man up and just by the thing! You deserve to have it... look how hard you work!"

Comp tac MTAC is a great holster.

I been really happy with my HBE Specialty Leatherworks holster if you decide to get leather. Look at his Com 3 model.
