Now I'm officially ticked off...I figured today would be the day since lots of you guys got yours today. I don't understand how people who called and got theirs issued after me and live further away have already received theirs. I need to call tomorrow to make sure they really did issue it. It would have been nice to have while out of town this weekend!

Finally it arrived! I got home today and it was waiting for me in the mailbox. My Wal-mart list has been growing the past week, so off I go...

I've been waiting for 80 days as of Easter sunday. I called them and the lady that answered told me, "Well, we have 90 days to get it to you!" So, if it isn't here on Monday I'm going to call and be a little more insistent that I get a better answer. Don't understand how some of you guys are getting it in 2 weeks and I'm waiting 2 and a half months. One of the guys that went though the class with me (Jan.19th) just got his last Friday. Maybe being in a smaller county helps.....oh well......

Made the call today (after waiting for over 80 days) and she said everything is good and it'll be the 7 to 14 day thing. It's about time!!!!!!

looks like 7-14 days is a canned answer. i called today and that is what i got. mine is just to renew so not worried about it cause i have the receipt stamped. it has been over 60 days. just be glad the sheriff aint got his hands in the pie. took my son and i 8 months to get our first one. hamilton county sat on ours. know this for a fact. it cost him a lot of votes later on.

Called last monday 4/6 and recieved yesterday 4/14!! Took about 75 days from application to permit in hand (mostly because I didn't know about "the call").

Filed all the paperwork on Feb 9 and called today to see what was going on and pretty much just got the answer that "it will be 7-14 days when they receive the paperwork." I mentioned Feb 9th and pretty much got the same answer.:ugh::blah: We were told that if we hadn't received it in 3 months to contact the instructors that gave us the class.

What I dont understand is the large gap between people that get their permit in half of that 90 days but others like us that have waited almost the full term, kinda makes a person wonder how long after all your checks are in that they are possibly just sitting on the permits, doesn't make sense that everyone is told the same line, almost like 45 days or 90 days whats the diff. Why do we have to call, why cant they just send them when all the proper checks are in and correct.

You know, I see a pattern here. Everyone makes the call and the nice lady on the phone says everything is good and it'll be 7-14 days.

Do you all think that making the call actually spurs them on to print the card? Or do you think it is just their standard answer to get you off the phone so she can get back to her solitaire game?

It seems to me that most of the time it speeds things up.

At least I hope so, cause my wife just called about her permit, and a nice lady on the other end of the line said it would be 7-14 days
