The wife and I went to Memphis yesterday just to be looking around, wasting time, etc. We happent o stroll into Bass Pro Shop and look as well. Of course the first place I went was hunting. I happen to run across this handgun that I have been to wanting to practice with. Its a Smith & Wesson 22A-22LR. My wife talked me into buying it(yeah right)! So needless to say, I came home with a new .22LR and 1100 rounds of ammo. So I may be gonna do some target shooting. Here is a pic of it:

That's a nice piece.

I just recently bought a Ruger Mark III Hunter. It's nice to be able to plink without spending a fortune.....

Was that the store off of Macon? I go in there a couple of times a month. I have a Rugar Mark III that I shoot on occasion...

That's nice.. I gotta get a .22 pistol so I don't go broke shooting centefire guns!

Thats precisely why I bought it. Centerfire will get expensive, so I figured this would be a cheap target shooting gun. I think I paid $21 for the 1100 rounds I bought. So cheap is good!

Its the one on the side of the interstate. The one with all the boats sitting outside.

Sure is a nice way to spend a day, purchasing a new toy. 22LR is one of my favorites in either hand guns or long guns.

Thats why I bought it. Cheap to have fun with and practice.

I had one just like that. Very fun to shoot, and more accurate than the Ruger 22/45 I had at the same time. Mine jammed quite a bit using un-plated bullets (could have just been cheap ammo in general), and it got really dirty.

Be careful dis-assembling it, the recoil rod/spring assy likes to jump out at you or across the room... And it's easy to lose the little plastic buffer tabs. I ended up buying a few extra (and still have some I think, if you want them). This is defenitly one of those guns to wear eye-protection around when field-stripping it!

Fun shooter though, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
