From the same types of people who brought us global warming....

And yes, your tin foil is indeed shiny.

****One of my favorite songs by Testament plays in the background of this story(which was written in '98/'99 before the whole 2012 craze started;))****

Three Days In Darkness

In a world polluted inside

let's pretend the nightmare is done

from the earth the magma will rise

From the sea comes cancerous tides

The meaning of life ends in prophecy

Premonitions bring tragedy

is the hope for humanity

Molten fire.. flies through the sky

Burning high... eclipse of the sun

Blackened skies

Rites of the night

The days in darkness in 2012

Mother earth's been withered by time

Already dead and we didn't even know it

Watch the stars to give us a sign

From above, all the angels descend

The meaning of life ends in agony

Raped by impurities

Not chance for humanity

Molten fire.. flies through the sky

Burning high... eclipse of the sun

Blackened skies

Rites of the night

The days in darkness in 2012

Magma splits the earth and shifts below

Molten lava bursts and overflow

Rise as we wait, annihilate

Burning earth pulls to the sun

Rise as we wait, obliterate

Burning earth pulls to the sun

Three days of darkness in 2012

Mega cities still blaze in the night

Burning the ashes they choke

From the earth the magma will rise

Enveloped in poisonous smoke

so the meaning of life ends in prophecy

Premonitions of tragedy

still no hope for humanity

Molten fire.. flies through the sky

Burning high... eclipse of the sun

Blackened skies

Rites of the night

The days in darkness in 2012

I dont think this is actual tinfoil hat...and I believe its much more troubling then global warming...one of my favorite shirts says "Al Gore didnt invent the internet, but he did make up global warming". Since a similar event actually did happen in the 1800's it would be prudent to stock up the normal essentials (water, canned food, etc..) and maybe a few things that are a little more extravagant like stored diesel and a generator.

While I like SCIENCE and stuff like that...the operative word in that entire article is COULD...yes it COULD happen...someone in Las Vegas work out the odds please. These :drama: science geeks deal in speculation...if they think the WORST...then that's probably what happened. Plus disaster sells..and sells big. Just in case though...I am Boy Scout...BE PREPARED

Yes, it certainly can happen to that degree because it happens to lesser degrees quite frequently. Solar energy would have a far greater affect on our climate then CO2.

The earth exists in the suns atmosphere. Sun bursts and flares can and have done lots of damage to our infrastructure, ie 1989 Canada's power grid went down. Also flares and bursts could do what an EMP could do, disable every electrical device on earth. Don't laugh just yet.:drama:

If you were forced to listen to Coast to Coast like I am at work.. then you would know that there are all kinds of ideas about 12/22/2012.
