Guns & Mexico

I was just flipping through the channels catching some morning news when I came across some news about Shrillary's trip to Mexico...

They began stacking up a list of "facts" along the left side of the screen. First, Clinton's comment that "The US is to share the blame for the cartel problem", yeah... The next one is what really set me off: "2,000 guns per day are smuggled into Mexico from the US"...!

WTF?!?! HOW could they possibly have quantifiable information to confirm that? Did they call up their friendly neighborhood cartel for an approximate daily value of smuggled weapons?!

I saw news footage of some of the captured weapons being smuggled into Mexico... It was a very quick shot of several long arms, but I believe there were several over-under shotguns pictured.... and nothing resembling an "assault" weapon. No mention was made of whether the "cache" came from one seizure.... or from a week long effort. Looks to me like some people on their way to a hunting trip lost their bird guns!

Any guns going north to south are most likely stolen!

Convince the anti-gun crowd of that mere fact...got:tinfoil: and  they will say we're all:screwy:...because guns cause drug addiction

Mexican are taking stolen guns south just like Mexican drug dealers are bringing drugs north. All problems that could be solved with a secure border.

Americans who buy illegal Mexican drugs do contribute to this problem.

Where is the list of serial numbers for these supposedly "smuggled" weapons coming from the US?

I'll tell you where.. They are being kept under wraps, because most of the guns were either stolen or ripped away from Mexican Police, & corrupt Mexican Police. Many of them came from the U.S. alright, & our stupid government gave them to them, not our U.S. gun industry, gun shows, or gun owners..

The solution is: Seal the border, & leave our Second Amendment Rights alone. Leave Mexico to deal with the problems their socialist atmosphere have created, period.. We have enough problems of our own.

Your right and that is the most sensible solution and will take care of illegal immigrants at the same time but government will never take the most sensible route. Before this is all done the US will pump more than enough money into Mexico than it would take to secure the border.

Close the fricken border, end of story.

The administration is simply manufacturing excuses to attack the 2nd Amendment in the future with gun control legislation. No common sense solutions are required like securing the border. The best way for them to futher their real agenda is to use the media to play on the emotions of the naive.

you can`t close the border...it is not a door or a fence to be closed, it is hundereds of miles in desert...problem is that we, people in US are main customers to those drug cartels and they are our supliers...only way to stop this is to start fighting back "eye for na eye", no jails or courts, bullet in the forehead and end of story, police needs to go to the homes of those crooks and kill them in their yards while they`re having a BBQ with the family...drugs and people who use them are different problem and I`m not sure how to deal with that...

Take your shoes off and stay awhile...this is a longgg article....

The fact of the matter is, regardless of how you interpret what is said in this link, is that tons of guns are going from here to there. Respectfully, I submit that it's pretty naive to think otherwise. It's like saying drugs don't come through Mexico. :D

I think why we're not hearing what we want to hear are the ongoing investigations by the ATF of dealers in border states. They are not going to produce any serial numbers or any more tangible statistics until some kind of case is closed.

I have talked to quite a few people on the subject and all say any weapons they have seen being flashed by these bad guys are always AK's and the like. I mean look at how many country's make them and sale to anybody with a dollar. I saw on the national news that you could get them for 12 bucks in some of the markets in the Arab country's. I think I know a better place for our troops though. Defending God and Country for real.

The truth is that "illegal FAa were coming in from Mexico to the USA."

Proof that the Obama administration is manufacturing anti-2nd amendment propaganda. Anyone who believes that the Obama administration and the democrat controlled house and senate isn't building an attack on our 2nd amendment is naive. It's better to wear a tin foil hat than to have your head buried in the sand.

From the article:

EXCLUSIVE: You've heard this shocking "fact" before -- on TV and radio, in newspapers, on the Internet and from the highest politicians in the land: 90 percent of the weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico come from the United States.

-- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said it to reporters on a flight to Mexico City.

-- CBS newsman Bob Schieffer referred to it while interviewing President Obama.

-- California Sen. Dianne Feinstein said at a Senate hearing: "It is unacceptable to have 90 percent of the guns that are picked up in Mexico and used to shoot judges, police officers and mayors ... come from the United States."

It's the usual anti-gun rights perpetraters manufacturing this lie, we all know their anti-gun agenda in the past will show itself again. Look for gun control legislation to come before congress in the near future. A leopard can't change it's spots.

100% proved lie. The Fox story confirms it but no other media outlet is running the correction.

Even with the small % that is coming from the US, most of those are being sold to Mexico and is legit as it is going to the Military. However those are getting stolen and a lot of soldiers are going AWOL with their weapons to join the cartels.

So it is a VERY VERY small number of guns coming from the US into Mexico that are from normal every day dealers. It is simply a non issue but lets see how many news sources decide to get their facts straight now... I will not hold my breath.

golly does that mean we were lied to. The almost president Hillary told a lie, Eric Holder told a lie. Well shucks I'm just so amazed by this ...................... no I'm not.

It's called the "Big Lie". If it is told often enough, it becomes fact.:)

I heard an interesting fact, yesterday. In this particular point in history, there are in OUR Congress and Senate, the fewest number of veterans serving since OUR country was founded.

I have been wondering...Why in the world do Mexican drug cartels want to buy over priced, over taxed and traceable assault weapons purchased at retail price in the U.S.A. ? There are probably hundreds, if not thousands of illegal gunrunners out there who are perfectly capable of smuggling and selling them enough weapons and ammunition to start W.W. III at a deep discount? Perhaps I'm missing something, but I know that a full auto AK47 is probably only worth about $50.00 in just about every third world country on the planet and there are millions of them out there. It just makes no sense to me. These guys have DEEP pockets and connections.
