My new play thing.

I have been looking for one on and off for about a year and all my buddies knew. I did not want a reproduction or a Universal. I wanted a WWII era M1 Carbine, like the one I stupidly got rid of years ago. So the other day a good friend calls and said he had found one. So one things leads to another and last night I picked up a 1943 build Underwood M1 Carbine. Just took it out and the rain for a test run and performed flawlessly. Didn't realize until I pulled the trigger how much I really missed this rifle.

And now for a pic.

Very nice, always wanted one but with the prices and another caliber to support, just really isnt feasible for me at this point!

Thanks guys. I have been keeping tabs on prices for a year or so. Even got my C&R license so I could just order one from CMP. Then my buddy spotted this one. The price was well below what I would have invested in a CMP rifle counting the membership for with a affiliate group but I can use my C&R for discounts other places and to order a Nagant 1895.

Now the only question that remains is "Will it stop a llama?"

Youre opening a can of worms asking as to what it can stop, myself from all i read from testimonials mainly during Korea, the bullets were stopped by the Quilted clothing of the Koreans and this round never was known as a Man-stopper! But one hears a lot of stuff, if i am not mistaken this weapon was to mainly be used for self-defense instead of a pistol, sort as a pdw.:koolaid:

Hey, it's got 15 rounds of llama stopping power. Maybe with this new toy you can help end those mad attacks.....

Good score:up:

I remember seeing those in Pawn shops years ago for $150 bucks. You'd see three or four in the racks back then. Oh how I wish I had bought back then. Stupid... stupid... stupid!

My posterior section has more divots than a golf ball from where I've kicked myself for not buying things like that when they were available. :drama:
