Does anyone know the approximate value of a Beretta Cougar in near new condition with 3 factory magazines and a holster? I don't know what kind of holster it is.

Approximate value will be tough without actually seeing the gun in person (even though you say it's in like new condition)

And not knowing the holster brand hurts as well. Is it leather, plastic, fabric?

What caliber?

Details man, details! :D

It's a .40. I don't have the gun; I am thinking about buying from a guy who needs some cash. The holster is leather. I didn't see any outside wear on the gun.

I can get a new Stoeger for around $379. How much should that affect price of the beretta since it is the same gun?

Buds Gun Shop lists them "NEW" for $556 back when they carried them. Gunbroker.com has two .45's going for $459 and $595

So I would say mousegunner is close with $400 as a pretty good deal. They come w/ two clips anyway, so you're just paying for the 3rd clip and holster as extras. Good leather holsters and get up to the $100 range depending on brand/style/type of hide.

I wouldn't go over $450, unless you just really want one.

On a side note, but same subject matter.....did the Cheetah or the new PX4 Storm Type 4 Sub-Compact replace the Cougar? I don't see any new Cougar models listed on Beretta's website, so I assume it's not being made anymore.

Beretta sold their patent to Stoeger. So it is no longer in production. I don't know when that happened. He wanted $350 for it, but I am going to offer him $325. That might be low balling it a little, but like I said I can get a new one out the door for about $90 more.

I think it is the PX4 that took its place. The cougar is pretty heavy for a compact gun.

About a month ago summit gunbroker had 5 .45s in exc condition with 2 mags for 349.00 + shipping. My neighbor got 1 & it looks like it hadn't ever been shot. There great guns. Just a little bulky.

If you decide not to get it, pm me with details. I want it. I'm in the market for a new beretta

Is it the couger or mini couger? I have the Beretta 8040 and have been very happy with it. It is a very smooth shooting and accurate full framed pistol. I gave $400 for mine about 7 years ago and it came with 5 mags and the original hard case and accessories.
