I taught my wife to shoot and took her to the range! I'm so proud.

She was shooting a Ruger 22/45 pistol, and she did a couple in my 1911.

And the problem is??? LOL

Just make sure you steer her towards one or two you've had your eyes on...Share the love....:D

Mine too has said she wants to get more into shooting and says she will be taking the HCP course this summer with a girl friend of hers. I'm going to take someone else's advise and drop her off and leave her to the instructors!

Why is that so unthinkable? Now you two have more in common!

Excellent! I can't tell you how much better life is when your spouse enjoys the things you enjoy and vice versa. Having a wife that likes to go shooting with me is just one of the many ways that I feel blessed. :D

That's great! My wife was all about removing all firearms until I taught her to shoot. She orignally thought the same thing about my motorcycle till I took her for a ride. :D

As an added bonus, you might find it easier to request certain Christmas and birthday presents for yourself. :D

Ah, broke her in at the Stones River range....good place to shoot.

You're love will now have a deeper meaning...:D

Good deal. I got my wife started shooting about 2+ years ago and she enjoys it - and is pretty good too. It gave her a different understanding of my 'gun talk' around the house.

My wife has been out shooting the 10/22 once. Is itching to get out with the pistols, think we're gonna go out Sat. Good job and those are some targets to be proud of for a first timer. Good Stuff!

I am proud. Thanks for all the encouragement.

She was doing fine until a fellow got put into the slot next to us and started tearing up a box or 2 of 9mm. She got anxious about the blast. I should have given her plugs and muffs!

She's not the got "bug" yet, but I doubt it will be too hard for us to go out again. I worry a little less about her using a pistol to defend herself in the house after seeing those targets. She did a few round with my 1911 and full house JHPs. Her groups were the same size. :koolaid:

The big problem is finding a babysitter for our kids!

Babysitter? All I got was a remote, and a bag of potato chips and I turned out just fine!

Very often this is the smart thing to do. Sometimes it's hard to be a "prophet in your own land."

Getting another qualified instructor takes the emotional / self-consciousness issues out of the equation.

Yeah, I hear you about the babysitter! Maybe we could organize some TGO range time, with a few volunteers to watch all of the kids.
