So, how many of you veterans screwed around during the slow times?

Though I was never in service I have an x-wife that swears that I am a veteran screw-up.:rofl::P

Great video though. I love watching the video productions that some of these guys come up with. The military hasn't changed much over the last 30 years that I have been working with different units within. It's long periods of intense boredom punctuated by brief periods of intense gut-wrenching excitement.

now thats funny right there I don't care who ya are :-)

Ditto.

I suspect soldiers always did stuff like tht because soldiering is so darn boring most of the time. But with the YouTube generation we get to see it all here at home.

When the family sends their soldier a video camera, they don;t expect this. They should, since a lot of things are withheld by the government adn only screwing around can really get out.

I just love this video. Kudos for the creativity of our soldiers! Some of the scenes reminded me of similar shots in Good Morning Vietnam or Three Kings. (Guess I'm dating myself here...)

I guess dating yourself is ok but wouldn't you really want to go out with someone smarter and with less leg hair?

Really great video. I got a vid of some of my buddies setting their boots on fire and running...motor pool, boredom, and flammable substances don't usually mix well lol.

You've got to find a way to post that...

Imagine three men in underwear and combat boots and goggles chasing a tent through the desert. That was my uncle. Their tent got away from them and they had to chase it down. No video taken.

we had guys doing all kind of crazy stuff from pranks to streaking and improvised fun like sledding in crashboxes down the sides of those bunkers seen in that video and we even made a slip and slid after they told us we couldn't drink the water in our water buffolow.
