Question about changing sights

I recently picked up a G43x. That has crappy Glock sights and am ordering a set of night sights for it. Can the change be made (correctly) with a drift punch or should I bite the bullet and get a sight pusher
Thanks in advance   I have never changed them my self and the local smith wants $50 to swap them out

I've done it before with a brass punch when I didn't have a pusher with me. Just have to make sure the new sight is started into the dovetail square and be very careful to not let the punch slip. There is much less chance of messing something up using a pusher.

The sight pusher is a better choice. I have one that you can use.

Thank you Sir. I’m not one to borrow others tools. Just ordered one

Not a problem. Are you local to Paint Rock or did you move in?

Nope. Still in Paint Rock , lived here 4 years and work in Sweetwater

I’ve always used brass punches for factory steel sights but I agree a sight pusher would be better for aftermarket sights . Especially ones with Tritium or fiber optics.
