Any advice on ak building

Hello I am a firearm enthusiast who is very interested in manufacturing my own firearms. I have been recently interested in building a romanian underfolder parts kit. I have workshop experience and metal working experience, for those of you who have built an ak before what advice do you have for someone just getting started?

You need a hydraulic press and jigs. Other than that, headspacing is the only difficult issue. Forbus is a local guy and been doing it a long time. https://robertforbus.com/Kalashnikova_Tools.htm

That being said, buying a kit and building an AK has become a ridiculously expensive project. You will loose a lot of money over buying even top tier if the shelf AK's.

Yeah smith I really want the experience of building it myself. I think it would be a really good learning experience. Thanks for the links!

Another option is to take Rifle Dynamics class. They provide the kits, parts, and tools and you build a Custom level AK. It's on my bucket list. I've built AK's before but this would be a great experience without the headaches. Cost about the same in the end. https://rifledynamics.com/classes/

If you still wanted to home build after, you would have a huge advantage on knowing what it would take.

Thanks, I had forgotten. However, It's still the same program he started. It's a good one.
