Hey Y'all,

Just caught wind of the new Sig 238. I'm a Sig guy through and through, but have really been thinking of getting something small and light (particularly something small, light, and based on the 1911 design)...this could be it! Aside from those God-awful grips it looks pretty damn cool...

Have any of you got your hands on one? Really anxious to hear some reviews on THIS forum.

BEst,

Chisum

Well, it's heavier, thicker, and longer than a Kahr or Kel-Tec .380.

Matter of fact, it's actually almost exactly same size as a Kahr PM9mm, and that is, well, 9mm.

Just my initial take,

Heard at the gun show that it should be shipped out in late May-June. Should be around $500 according to the dealer I was talking to. He said he was already taking orders and had a long list of people wanting one.

Great minds think alike. I'm extremely interested in this gun as well. According to the specs on the website, it's smaller than the P232, and I love the two-tone model.

Not sure what to do, this; a Micro Eagle, or North American Arms 380....

Decisions, decisions

I am a Sig guy too, but in my opinion that is a useless firearm. If it were 9mm I could see it, but a pseudo 1911 style .380? Goofy was the first word that came to my mind when I saw it.

I like 'em from what I've seen (aside from the grips). I'll hold judgment though until I hold one. Seems like a good buy if compared to the Colt .380's.

unless you have a stash of .380 though, I wouldn't buy one right now. I think it will be 6mo to a year before .380 inventories stabilize.
