Finally shot my Rem. VTR yesterday

I picked up a Remington VTR in 308 off gunbroker a couple of weeks ago. It came with a Leupold VXII 3-9X50. It has the German #4 reticle. It is an ok reticle for hunting but not a great one for precision shooting.

I fired a couple of shots to make sure the scope was on. The thick posts of the reticle covered a lot of the target. I was still able to shoot a couple of decent groups. The first one was right at an inch and the second group was right at 3/4 of an inch.

I think with a different scope and more solid bench I might be able to shrink those groups a little. Overall I am very pleased with my new rifle.

Very nice rifle, KM.

I'm a huge fan of anything Remmy puts out, except for their centerfire automatic rifles. When it comes to long guns, I'm nearly 100% exclusive. Right now I'm waiting for the right moment to snag the 700 XCR in one of the .300 Mag variants.
