Bill of Sale

I printed off a bill of sale to use tommorrow and had a question about #10

10. If ever a US citizen, I have not renounced my citizenship.

It is as if the question could be answered yes or no. What do you think?

Seems a few folks will or want to do that, due to Obamjie!

Just don't use it at all! To each his own, but to me it amounts to an argument that doesn't exist.

Good to see another supporter of Israel. Maybe I did not explain the question I had very well. I have a paper trail to me on this gun and considering the current administration is not gun owner friendly I felt the need to cover my basis. The actual question I have is it seems to be #10 is able to be answered both ways. Not from a heart issue but from a grammatical one.

Haha, that's a stupidly worded question as yah, your answer can have the same meaning regardless as to whether you say 'yes' or 'no'.

You might end up killing the deal when you produce the bill of sale. Have it understood beforehand that you want to do this. It will save a lot of problems. Don't just pull it out after the money has changed hands.

You might search this forum for a previous thread about BOS. It seems to be a love/hate thing.

The answer is Yes if you have not renounced your USA citizenship.

I do not have a PDF editor or I would change the questions 10 & 11 to:

10) I am a US citizen?

11) I have renounced my US citizenship? (clearly the answer is No by removing the double negative of Not with response No.)

Unless the buyer agreed ahead of time, it would be a deal killer. FTF is for most people because they DON'T want a papertrail.

However it is easy to track down a gun to a certain point...... Unless it is one in Mexico.

Well if the gun is in Mexico it obviously come from the US...

It is a trap. I feel they created that question to trick people like those personality profile tests you take for a new job.

The question asks "If ever a US citizen (obviously yes), I have not (right then the answer is yes, I have not renounced my citizenship) renounced my citizenship

It is as bad as a double negative. Jeff Foxworthy could translate better :tinfoil:

I agree 100% but I think it would be a deal breaker.
