EDC tshirt brands?

Has anyone found a brand/company that sells casual tshirts they found pair with with AIWB, i.e., dont print egregiously? Upon looking holster shirts keep popping up, whereas i am just looking for a normal crew/v-neck tshirt that fits and doesn't look like im wearing a potato bag.

Not a big guy, 5/10, 175lbs relatively fit build.

Do they exist, or do i have to just accept that a "cover" shirt is the only good way to conceal?

First let me say that I think the majority of concealment woes come from using a weak belt, wrong holster design or sub-optimal holster positioning.  It can be any one of those, or any combination of them.

That out of the way, I have found that Life is Good t-shirts tend to generally be made of heavier weight fabric and more generously cut.  They also don't scream "tactical" to the observer and their happy, go-lucky branding is entirely unassuming.

Carhartt t-shirts are about the same.

I carry that way, I tryto choose a dark color it seems to help hide it more. As far as a brand I just buy regular t-shirts. Like stated above you need a good sturdy belt and a quality holster made for AIWB.

We're similar builds, I have a few large tshirts that fit pretty well untucked.

I can't recommend a specific brand, it's like the box o' holsters.

Duluth. I have a long torso, thought I have a heavier build at 6' 1" and 250 lbs. I wear their XL tall and it covers a pistol Iwb or Owb well without looking cartoonishly oversized.

did an EDC class at royal tonight and found myself constantly adjusting a no name polo as it kept hanging up (though that was a slim cut). More optimistic that there’s options that I can make work after doing a class with full EDC rig.

You could always become a photographer! When Tennessee first offered the HCP we had thousands of photographs suddenly appear. Many, many, many people wore photographers tan vests. I still have mine and will send it to you free. We looked ridiculous.

I’m about the same build as you but go IWB at 4 o’clock and can hide a G17 with any shirt I own.

When I am volunteering on my church safety team, I wear an untucked camp style shirt and leave the bottom button undone.  It allows for quicker and easier draw without getting hung up on the shirt.

Depending on the make of the shirt, sometimes I have to buy a +1 size in order to get it loose enough to move freely around the gun.  Some shirts just don't pass muster because they end up looking too big, so experimentation is necessary.

I've had good luck with Columbia and Magellan camp/fishing shirts.

Those vests don't look right unless you've got a bloody duck, quail or pheasant hanging out of a pocket and a Labrador Retriever at your side.

I think the darker color and not "slim fit" help a lot. I also like the "life is good" shirts. My wife likes them so that's what tends to appear in my t-shirt drawer. 

I'm a little shorter at 5'7" so finding one that's big enough around but doesn't look comically long unucked is my main challenge.

yup.  my brand new shiny 'international man of mystery photog vest' didn't look at all like I thought it did..

Those are about all I wear off the clock.  They’re comfy, loose, roomy pockets, cool in summer, and don’t  print bad.

Fishing shirt, cargo shorts, white socks and a crisp pair of New Balance kicks and you'll be set.

Patterned shirts work best.  For solids, go with dark colors as has been suggested.

You should have no trouble appendix carrying at your height/weight.  I have the same stats and do not wear baggy clothes.  Appropriate holster and belt are key.

Second the Carhartt t-shirts. Work well to avoid printing without having to rely on layers or baggy clothes.

I think the key for all men's shirt clothing is to make sure your skirt tail is long enough and about a size too big.  That lets the shirt drape over your pistola and completely cover it whether it's IWB or OWB.  I'm a Duluth fan as well as Carhartt. 

As others have opened, your belt needs to be the best ( and most likely the most expensive ) part of your wardrobe, with your holster being a close second.  A great gun belt and a solid holster will cure a multitude of other problems if your skirt tail is long and full enough to naturally drape over your pistola and rig.  I like the dark colored thing with patterns as well.  Think camouflage here.

I beg to differ, with a boonie hat and some 5.11 pants with 32 pockets you just blend right in like a gray man.

My wardrobe mostly consists of untucked button-up shirts (not the untucked brand mind you).  I probably have 20 or more Kuhl, Prana, Arcteryx patterned button ups. That's my normal "going out" setup. I wear them with shorts or jeans. I look like any other semi professional dad I guess.

As for t-shirts, I'm not wearing some giant t-shirt and looking slouchy. Instead I got myself a good pocket carry pistol. Thus far, i've never been made (or at least nobody has ever called it out).

I wear “Fresh Clean Threads” black t shirts.  I have like 20 of them.  They hold up well and I can conceal a 19 under them without being obvious.  Like some above said, holster and belt choose are important, along with a carry position that works with your body.
