Sweet!!!! Nice rig, Trip. And you were right, the bbl length makes all of the difference in the look of the thing!

hey, the mag tube sticks out past the end of the barrel a little bit:p

:shake: I was almost tempted to settle for one with the 1/2" shorter barrel, but knowing me, I would have never been happy.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I agree. This probably would lead to more powder residue on the silver magazine tube that is extended beyond the barrel.

That is one sweet shotgun! Congrats!

Ever since getting my first shotgun (Mossberg 500 w/2 barrels), I have wanted one of these.

I once had a Winnie 1300 Police Marine and wish now that I had hung onto it!

I've been wanting one of those for awhile, just can't part with the money on something I consider to be just a "fancy" gun. Someday though...

Fancy? I prefer the term Bad A$$. Nevertheless, the Marine Magnum is now Head of Security around the house. And a fine job it's doing.

That is a fine lookin' boomstick

So school me. I always thought those were stainless, but they're nickle-plated. Is that more corrosion resistant in "marine" (water) environments?

Stainless is corrosion resistant (also, not all stainless is created equally), it will still rust, particularly in the harsh salt environment. Chrome and nickel are added to make the SS and to give its corrosion resistance. Nickel in itself is much more corrosion resistant in salt environments than the mixture.
