True or False: An unloaded G27 ought to weigh just a little bit less than an unloaded G26. Why?

Just guessing here but is it because the .40 barrel is lighter due to the larger insider diameter, and the 9mm is heavier because the barrel has a smaller inside diameter.

I.E. less mass to the barrel.

You are exactly right! Here is a photo of muzzles of GLOCK 26 and 27. It is easy to tell the 9mm barrel by its thickness...

Yes, an extreme example of this is with the Colt SAA. Handle a 5 1/2" .45 Colt SAA and then pick up the same gun in .357 magnum.

The .357/.38 feels horrible as far as balance goes, at least to me.
