I saw a news report the other night on these guys, and it showed an older gentleman dressing-down the Obama supporter. He was yelling at him that Obama's already screwed-up the economy. I enjoyed the comical moment.

it looks to me that Obama is just continuing what Bush started it, so I`m not sure I understand what are some guys here complaining about, you still have your hard core capitalism in wich you have no rights, health care, decent education or job security and corporations do whatever they please and you still have the famous war and on top of that Obama is sending 17 000 more troops in to it, so I don`t really understand what are you complaining about...??? and I almost forgot, sthere is still no any kind of new ban on weapons....I think republicans should be more pleased with Obama than democrats...

it always amazes me when for some, successful system is system in wich 47 000 000 people has no basic health insurance, money is borrowed from China to keep economy alive (and at the same time that "evil" communist system that borrows you money so you can continue living that famous "successful" capitalist way of life is looked down at as being bad and ugly) , weird....

far from that I`m saying that China has a "perfect" system, but it sure looks like it`s working better than ours....

Where is it stated in the Constitution, Bible or bubble gum wrapper that anyone is entitled to basic health care? Insurance is the 2nd biggest Ponzi scam since Social Security. All you are owed from birth is the right to pursue anything and everything you wish to. The rest is foisted upon us by folks who think a large number of folks wanting something makes it right. Thus a true democracy is always doomed to fail as the wanters take from the providers. Our representative republic will just take longer unless we vote it back to ourselves.

??????

Are you serious? China's system is working better than ours? Must be the forced sterilization once you have your 1 allowed child, or the censorship from the state, or the whisking away of anyone who dares criticize the gov't to prisons...that must be why their system is 'working' better than ours. I take it that you are a gun owner, being on this site (unless of course you are just a troll trying to get a charge out of people), but under the better Chinese system, you would not have your guns. Hell, you wouldn't even be able to post to a forum like this. So you can have your 'better' system, I'll stick with the imperfect freedoms I have here.

hmmm, last time I checked we borrowed from China few gazillion dollars..didn`t we...? maybe I`m missing something...our system may be better but it egzists in its shape and form only because we are financing it with other people money...right?

and the other funny comment here was "who says people have right to health care (insurance) "...this is the bright one...I will ask you that if your kid ever needs a serious medical care...wonder what song would you be singing then...unless you are Bill Gates,I can pretty much guarantee you that you will either go broke or your kid will die.

the one big problem people have is that a lot of them are pretty cruel and critical of everything and everyone until the same **** happeneds to them...I wonder how many "smart" people here were critical of others loosing their homes because "they couldn`t afford them anyway" and how "smart" they were when they themselfs got laid of and lost their homes...

ps

as far as guns go, anyone who will fix the problems we have and secure a healthy economy, health care and education , can have all of my guns...

Not exactly. Our current system may be propped up by foreign investment (and not all of that comes from China, and not all of our debt is paid by foreign investment) but it's in China's best insterest to help prop it up cause if our system fails, their's fails. The only reason China has begun to 'prosper' is because they have taken a more capitalistic approach by selling cheap goods to us. Their economy is so tied to our dollar that if our dollar fails, and we stop buying their cheap goods, their economy is flushed down the toilet as well.

So do we have a right to food and water? Why aren't people calling for free food, since we need food and water much more than health care to survive. Try going to the grocery store and demanding all the food you want for free since it's your right. And stop paying your water bill since that's against your rights. Gov't interference is what is wrong with health care and why it's so expensive. Look at areas that are not covered by insurance (eg lasik eye surgery) and the market has driven prices. The cost of lasik has dropped dramatically because people actual care about costs.

Forget free healthcare. The vast majority of Americans will spend far more on food in their lifetime than healthcare (looks like Canadienmike beat me to it above). I think we should just vote in free food for everyone. Then, with all the money everyone would save they could go out and purchase health insurance like everyone else right? Uhm no. Then they'd go out and buy a new car, 20" rims, 52" flat Screens, new clothes, new cell phones, hot tubs, shiny and sparkly new grilles :) etc.

Point is, most people who say they can't afford even the most basic health insurance without all the fancy co pays and what not CHOOSE to spend their money on other non essential expenses. I'm self employed and pay almost $500 a month out of my pocket to protect my family. In the past, during times between jobs etc. I went to my insurance agent and purchased one of those catastrophic health insurance policies for $100 a month. It only covered major illness/hospital stays with a large deductible ($5,000). It did not pay for anything else. Why can't others dump their cable/satellite TV's or cell phones and do the same thing??????? Socialized medicine does not work anywhere. For years, Japan had the model everyone strived to achieve but look at them now. They have the save problems every other country with socialized medicine has- poor healthcare due to under qualified/paid doctors, long waits for essential procedures and the government bureaucracies choosing who lives and dies. Right now in America, no mater who you are or how much you can afford a hospital must treat you as they would someone else who has insurance no matter what your age or health. Try that in Canada!

BUT I'm entitled.

Its not your fault that while you went to school, got your education to make a good living while I slacked off and popped out 4 children by 4 Ho's. But I'm entitled to a good income

Its not your fault that you exercise and take care of yourself while I supersize by ass at McDonalds. But I'm entitled to healthcare

Its not your fault that you work hard to provide a roof over your families heads and make all your payments on time. But I'm entitled to a house that I can't pay for.

Sooo frick you sucker - I'm ENTITLED and I voted for Obama to make my life grand...

Canadienmike - I agree with you completely.

44M - your opinions are your own and you are entitled to them but they are seriously skewed and poorly thought out as far as I am concerned. The foundation of our country was based on the exact opposite of what you are saying. We wanted to get away from government control, government intervention and government handouts. Our forefathers did not seek to establish a system whereby every person was taken care of. They simply wanted all men to have a fair shot at being the best he could be without being encumbered by the government. The declaration of independence identifies "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness", it does not say anything about "Life, liberty and the guarantee of health and happiness". Are there people in our country that unfortunately don't have health insurance - yes. Do they go without medical treatment - no, not unless that are 100% hard headed and refuse to go to a hospital.

Geez man, check your meds, they are really distorting your thinking.

So you feel that full medical assistance should be supplied to everyone eh? Who is going to pay for it? If we make it so everyone can have it (proven fact now, pay attention here) then no one will have much of it. Prices for medical care would be no where near what they are now if it weren't for insurance and those that abuse the system. Market forces would determine the prices that the public could afford. That gets thrown out when "my insurance will pay" for that trip to the emergency room to have a head cold checked out. When it get's universal, the best and the brightest will not seek that profession because who wants to run up several hundred K in school loans, spend 7-10 years in school and interning only to be offered a govt pay scale!

Look, it isn't easy to accept but it's what we have now because it was allowed from the beginning. Now we have to live with insurance and it still won't protect everyone because somewhere, someone has to get something for the service!

Everyone has to stop sticking their hands out, the government is not supposed to provide anything but defense and infrastructure (highways and dams, etc). The rest is supposed to be on the states and they can't afford it with that "give it to me" mentality we have created. It's been sown, time to reap!
