I finally got to hold & shoot one @ the range yesterday.. The owner cordially let me run a mag with it-Yikes ! I have small/average hands and was pleased how well the pistol sat so comfortably in my hand - the trigger slid to the rear with a mildly increasing tension and then Bam ! The front strap is nicely checkered- the mag well is flared-the recoil was brisk but not "snappy" ... Now I know why there is a 6 to 8 month wait for one. I was grateful to have the pleasure of shooting it and now know what a superb machine a 1911 can be !

These are absolutely a shooter's 1911. Whenever I want to grab a 1911 that just runs and makes me look like an all star I grab my Les Baer PII.

I have purchased and sold several Baer pistols. I finally decided to hold on to one so my son can inherit an awesome 1911.

I picked up a Baer Concept VII Comanche and it is an amazingly accurate pistol. Les Baer knows what he is doing with those pistols.

Yes. I'm a long time Colt 1911 guy, but I traded into a really nice used Les Baer PII 45acp.

We still tend to shoot a Colt S70 9mm more at the range, but PMII is really an excellent 1911.
