Value of M855

I have a friend that wants to sell me 400 rds. M855 green tip on 10 round strippers LC 07 w/NATO cross 30 rounds per box no markings on the box.

I am getting it for a song and I have no intention of reselling it, but I want to show my wife that if I did sell it I could turn a profit.

So what do you guys think? Given the current market what would M855 be worth if you could even find it?

I might go .5 or $500 for 1000 rounds. The PRVI m855 ball is just as good, thats imo. I'd make sure its not somebody's reloads.
