Anyone know a place thats hiring in Knoxville?

My girlfriend is currently looking for work. She's been a dialysis tech for 10 years, and the company she works for eliminated her position and moved her to a new one that doesn't allow her the flexibility she needs to get her kids to school in the morning (can be at work by 8:30). The kids have after school care. She is an attractive, personable woman and a very hard worker. A 9-5 position would be perfect, but she can be flexible and doesn't mind working overtime/or later when necessary. Weekends are possible. She has opportunities with no health insurance, but with the kids, really needs it. She is willing to consider any type of position that pays fairly and has insurance. I know a lot of the collection agencies are hiring...she should maybe check with G&G Services (i believe is the name). Recently a pizza place up here in Sevierville put out a help wanted ad and got 100 resumes in 2 days. One of our other customers works at a big embroidery shop and they had over 10 college grads apply for their janitor position....sign of the times I guess....

Yep times are tough. We recently had a job fair where I work (the zoo) for about 100 positions (mostly seasonal stuff) and we received on the order of 6000 resumes. My boss was showing me one of a guy who has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering and he was applying for a housekeeping (toilet cleaners) position. Its getting crazy. Guys.......I appreciate your input......but most of it isn't helpful considering she has 3 kids to take care of and is already scared to death given how the job market and economy are. Please try to at least be upbeat with the comments.
