Great that the loaded long gun passed, not that it was a major deal for me, but glad it passed anyway.

Only if restaurant carry could pass, this one effects me the most. I know, me me me me...

If people carried a little more "me, me, me" attitude in this country I think it would be a much better place. Too many worried about "everyone else" trying to make legislation for "everyone else" which in turn really don't help anyone. There are certainly some exceptions but for the most part what's good for one is good for all.

I am glad were making progress, but the 2 that are most imp. rest. and park carry unfortunately keep being put off.

Does anybody know how many for and against on each of these, since i wonder if either will make it!

Does anybody know the exact meaning of the bill that passed enhancing the castle doctrine? I read the amendment to the bill and it doesnt look like it does anything.

39-11-614 says you can not use deadly force to protect property. So if you were in a situation where you were proctecting your life and maybe also your property (carjacking) an over zealous DA could charge you with using deadly force for protecting proprety, even though you were also in a self-defense situation. The bill prevents a DA from being able to charge for using deadly force while protecting property if you are using deadly force as would otherwise be allowed by law...(self-defense)
