In this thread, post your favorite gun related quotes. They can be from books, movies, authors, famous persons, history... whatever.

Here's one I read earlier that made me think of starting this thread:

A reporter in Iraq, asked a Soldier what he felt when he shot and killed the enemy.

"Recoil" said the Soldier.

A few of my faves;

1. Marlboro Man- "Where'd you get that hogleg?"

Harley- "Denver. This here is a Ruger Super Blackhawk with 454 conversion. It's what I learned with."

Marlboro Man- "Nobody learns with a converted 454!"

Harley- "I did."

Marlboro Man- "Well, that explains it."

*From Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man*

2. " I believe in God and bullets. If you listen to what I say you won't have to meet the first by way of the second." My drill sergeant in boot camp.

3. "This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine." Full Metal Jacket

And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. We shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.

-Boondock Saints

not so much a gun quote, but a great movie with a lot of shooting!

I watched that yesterday. It's one of my favorite movies. I have the collector's edition DVD.

Connor: Jesus. He brought a six-shooter.

Murphy: There's nine bodies, genius.

Connor: What the f--k were you going to do, laugh the last three to death, Funny-Man?
