🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. 👆 confirms SO much.

N E who back to the thread topic...did we ever confirm the door was indeed propped open by a teacher or faculty member? This morning they were batting it around like a cat with a ball of twine. Like they want to convict that person if true.

Most great people set out to make me a criminal even though I’m out here in the sticks minding my own business.

She saw the shooter wreck his truck so she propped the door open with a rock while she called 911. Once she saw him hop the fence with a rifle she shut the door. It was supposed to lock automatically but it did not. Police confirmed this. It sounds like it really wasn't her fault but I'm sure she still feels horrible.

As a former LEO I have mixed feelings about this. While I understand the importance of proper back-up and equipment, I don't think that I could stand by while children were being shot. I probably would have done something "stupid" but at least I would try to save children's lives.

The head of the Texas DPS lays it out quite clearly right here. As he says everything that we the public and law-enforcement agencies have learned and settled on as doctrine since Columbine was disregarded here. In the case of a mass shooting like this you don’t wait for back up. You don’t wait for equipment. You go in even if it’s you by yourself. That is explicit and clear in the training that the officers in Uvalde have received on multiple occasions even just weeks prior to this.

There is zero excuse for what happened here.

"Everybody wants to be a gangster until it's time to do gangster ####."

I knew there were Shaq sized clown shoes on everyone the first time I heard "key" and "breach" in the same sentence.  If they want to have equipment and training like soldiers, they need to be ready to move out like soldiers.  Three Privates and a Specialist for a team leader could have handled this situation.  It's pretty clear they had all the tools in hand to deal with the situation.  Maybe there is some allowance for confusion over the active shooter vs. hostage belief...but even then with kids the rules change as I understand it.

This is an abject failure all around, and if there is no accountability, that will make it all the worse.

He also said the door was not locked and they never even attempted to open it. They didn't need a key. The door wasn't capable of being locked from the inside because something was wrong with the lock.

They just completely #### the bed on this one. Kids died because of their decisions.

The police chief sounds like a clown. He showed up without a radio. Additionally, their radios didn't work inside the school. The diagram of the school they were using to make decisions was partially wrong. Only the border patrol agents radio worked but not without some issues. Just an all around disaster.

Every time you think that surely it can’t get any worse a new detail is revealed and we find out that it absolutely gets worse.

Before this is all over with there is a significant possibility that Pete Arredondo‘s name will be placed next to Lon Horiuchi’s in the hall of shame of egregious acts of malfeasance by law-enforcement.

One of two things would happen

1: They would have had to shoot me.

2: Two I would have gotten my Wife out.

I would probably be dead or going to prison but I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn't do it.

I went in many doors first second or third man with no idea who, what, or how many were on the other side.  They knew they had one armed kid and many victims.  Hard to fathom really.

Looks familiar but I can't remember what this is from. Who is he?

Christian Craighead, he was the SAS operative who assisted in the stopping 2019 Nairobi, Kenya hotel terrorist attack. He was in town for training, grabbed his gear out of his vehicle and went in to help. Got a bunch of medals for it.

It’s already a shyt show. I can’t recall her title, but some female said that they weren’t providing information right now, because the shooter is dead and they need at least six months to investigate. That timeline puts the completion of the investigation after the mid-term elections. They should have a scapegoat by then.

Good point about the small team of privates lead by a spec4. They would have cleared the room without breaking a sweat.

I still have somewhat of an issue with the Police Chief who had so few officers of a school district was on scene commander.  I imagine more than one of the other LEOs in there had more relevant tactical command experience than he did.

I think they are victims of their "It won't happen here" mindset. Reality will bite you in the ass if you aren't prepared for it.

Full hallway video from Uvalde has been released.

If you choose to watch it, it will be infuriating to watch the incompetence and total inaction at play here

This pretty much says everything I really could about it.
