Nothing would surprise me... They seem to come up at very interesting times...

What makes this any more interesting than the previous dozen mass shootings? We hear some version of this every time there is a mass shooting.

The government of the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries are not the government of today.

I agree. It gets exponentially worse as it grows.

Every time there is something particularly stinky cooking politically or economically a tragedy emerges...  Ain't that Interesting🤔..?

Could it be that a gubt operative, entity, or persons unknown be conspiring to spread uproar, suspicion, lack of trust, and windbaggery for more gubt intervention and control ALA another " emergency ", or to simply cause chaos.

Interesting to think about...

wondering leroy...

I'm not convinced more Christianity is somehow going to stop this issue. Back when more people when to church we had a whole host of other issues. My Baptist friends still think that being gay is a "lifestyle" and will lead to eternal damnation. I'm sure many here do as well.

...

Don’t confuse the religion of “Christianity” and “religious” people with those that make an effort to follow the guiding principles of Christ. They are not the same. We need people to get back to the basics, and actually follow The golden rule, the Ten Commandments and other Christian teachings found in the Bible.

You’re right... more “Christianity” in itself won’t do a thing, but people turning from their wicked ways and following Christ absolutely will.

When Democrats propose more government spending for mental health then they are quickly shot down by the same people blaming these incidents on mental health.

Well this is great timing for Gov. Abbott. Texas ranks dead last for access to mental health treatment in the U.S.

Easy to make headlines.  Look deeper.

From the order:

We received your letters dated April 28, 2022, requesting to transfer General Revenue funds—as detailed below—to the Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor Strategy A.1.1., Disaster Funds. These transfers are meant to support the deployment of the National Guard with $465.3 million and to support border operations in other state agencies with $30 million. We understand the Fiscal Years 2020-2021 appropriations would otherwise lapse and be unavailable to your agencies and that the Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations have been fully funded with other sources. Thus this transfer will not affect any agency or program function.

When a country makes dismembering unborn babies in their mother's womb 'health care', how on Earth do you expect them to raise children who value and respect life? America has made a suicide-pact with a specific segment of the population, and we've become afraid to say men can't become women just by declaring it, unborn babies are actually babies and a father in the home is a critical part of child-rearing.

I'm a hard-core liberterian- I don't want to control what anyone else does AT ALL-but being forced to pretend whole categories of objectively impossible things are 'true' is tearing this nation apart.

reality is no one wants to hear the solution and I won't go into my version. The fact is we have lost sight of what is important and are seeing the truth in the love of money being the root of all evil.

Looks like the Uvalde and Uvalde ISD PDs just realized that TXDPS isn’t in the wagon circle with them and just might perform an actual investigation into things.

Every individual and agency involved is probably so  lawyered up at this point that we’ll never get a clear story of what actually happened and who’s going to take the fall for this massive #### up.

The police never had any obligation to help anyone so they wont be found responsible when they investigate themselves.

What liberal zip code in Knoxville voted her in?

She's a giant POS and has been for years. Only bested by the city mayor. If they had their way they'd have the homeless heckle you at your job 🤬

Her district has been drastically “reconfigured” by the state as part of this year’s redistricting   To the point that the district has an entirely new designation and includes a lot of west Knoxville which is a tad bit harder, but not impossible, to win as loud mouth liberal.

They hate her so much in Nashville she was assigned a closet for an office.  While that’s kinda funny it’s petty as hell and just shows the general state of affairs in state “governance”...even if she is a PITA.

Pushing the limits of mandated decorum here so I’ll not comment further on the downfall of Knoxville.

So true  Knoxville as a city is liberal. But the county for most part is conservative two very different mindsets.

Thats both funny and pathetic all at the same time.

To steer it back to the topic I know she was at the first protest held in Knoxville for Uvalde or NY, can't recall which. Or maybe it was a twofer. Regardless she told the reporter that they (dc politicians) would reach a bipartisan agreement on red flag laws and raising the age limit for legal purchases. All while wearing a big ol smile. Bless her heart 😁
