Pretty fair to say for many kids. They are victims of being parented by the culture around socials and seek approval. Lack coping skills and big need for recognition. Essentially Histrionic disorders.

CBS, NBC, et all are all too happy to oblige and give them the soapbox / platform. The worst part of this with the media putting this guy on blast is the marginals and nutbags will see this as glamorizing and give them the necessary incentive to get copycats. TX had his socials pulled offline, but the media is dredging it up and keeping his name out there versus bury it and make him a non story in this rather than reward deviant behavior.

The media's prayers have been answered by their devious deeds working against the states efforts to suppress. They just dropped these pics, trying to tie this guy to evil black rifle pics and hi caps though there is no confirmation they were used.

I generally do not favor reposting these, but important to track on the media and understand how irresponsible to polarize and spread agenda.

I agree, but what is the actual problem? I don't understand what drives people to keep doing this. That's why coming up with any sort of solution seems so unlikely.

Actual problem is mental illness, Very hard to address.
A solution would be to put more armed individuals in the schools to protect the unarmed innocent ones.

Most of us raise our kids and tell them to be capitalist, but we give them everything without requiring them to work for it. 

Capitalism = good 

Socialism = bad 

We raise them in Socialism. 

We tell them they are special. Everyone gets a trophy. No bullying ever.  They get older and realize that their not special. They have to work to get what they want and the first time they fail or someone says bad things to them, they can't cope.

This is our fault as a society. 

We need to let them fail when they're 5 years old. 

We need to teach them how to deal with people that say bad things. 

That's the problem.  We have to fix it and that's someone else's job. We are too busy for that nonsense.

When Democrats propose more government spending for mental health then they are quickly shot down by the same people blaming these incidents on mental health.

This incident is about as close to a copycat act as I have heard about. Take a look back at Sandy Hook and then look at this one. Adam Lanza shot and killed his mother before going to the school and this punk shot his grandmother before going to the school. Is there any comparison between the 2?........JMHO

Actually, the more I read about the timeline prior to the Gunman entering the building, I’m not sure the school was his real target.

After he shot his grandmother, he gathered up his gear and fled in a truck. As I understand it, police were chasing him when he wreaked the truck, near the school. He jumped out and had a running gun battle with police as he tried to get away. Unfortunately he ran towards and into the school. Several officers were hit. He than ran into a classroom and barricaded the door. Then proceeded to shot the teacher and the kids in that classroom, until the Border Patrol Tactical Team stormed the class and killed him. 

This has me wondering if he ever intended to attack the school in the first place. It almost seems it ended up being a target of opportunity. 
 

That doesn’t lessen the impact on the community or our nation from such a heinous crime.

This is where my mind goes.... how does a guy with a rifle just walk into an elementary school? The court house has lots of cops, metal detectors, and locked doors inside locked doors. Yet this guy just walks into a school?  Same with Sandy Hook, Parkland, and Columbine. 

Mental health is clearly a big problem,  but just because people are crazy doesn't mean they're stupid. I hard target isn't so appealing.

maybe they can’t lock a public school from outside entry? The Christian school where my wife works keeps all the doors locked. you have to ring the bell and either the downstairs admin asks who you are and what you need (on camera) or my wife answers from the school office. no one gets in without knowledge. unless of course they were to shoot their way in.
