Hunting with a GLOCK 10mm

I plan on hunting with a GLOCK 10mm, I've hunting Bear and Deer with rifle, shotgun and would like to try it.

I've carried a Glock 20 as a Bear backup gun but never used it by itself or needed to use it.

If anyone has input, experience I would be interested in things that have worked or didn't.

Not sure on what I want to use as far as optics/sights

I'm looking at the Barnes Trophy bonded ammo, always had great luck with there rifle ammo.

I use a G20 with Underwood arms extreme penetrator for my hiking carry.  I figure if it go through a bullet proof vest it should handle a bear hide.
