Why do I keep buying deer rifles???

It is a sickness I tell ya.  I have always had a thing for classic bolt action deer rifles, especially older wood stocked ones.

I have more deer rifles than I can hunt with but that does not seem to matter when I comes across another.

I am especially fond of older Sako rifles.  I found a single owner Sako Finnbear in .338 Win Mag  from 1967, my birth year, and just had to have it.  It has definitely been used but is in good shape for being 55 years old.  It also has a great looking wood stock.

The fact that I did not have a .338 win mag currently just made the decision all the much easier.

The gentleman, who lived in Coloardo at the time, ordered this from Herters in Minnesota.  He paid a whopping $149 including tax and shipping.  He actually kept the original hang tags and all the paperwork from when he bought the rifle.  I did not realize that when I bought it so it was a cool surprise.  The scope that is on it is a Herter's scope.  It is not marked but I am guessing it is a fixed 6x.

Anybody have any .338 win mag for sale?

It is a sickness but at least you hunt.  I have so many rifles and really haven't hunted in years but I continue to buy and buy.  My excuse is one day I will have time.

K man, that is a good looking rifle there! I say you did good, real good.

My weakness is for Left handed rifles. Just picked up a Savage 110, caliber 35 Whelen.

Nice.  You do not see many 35 Whelen's anymore.  To find a left handed one is a score.

About two years ago, I realized I didn't own a single conventional deer rifle.

I hope you have corrected that since then...

Well, when the Zombie Apocalypse hits and sun spots cause all deer to go rogue and attack humans...... you'll be golden!!🤣

In the service field there are no "problems", just opportunities to fix a bad situation!
