Kentucky Carry

All, I may be going to Ky soon. I know that their carry is CONCEALED. I will carry my pistol as such.

My question is what about an AR-15 or shotgun in the back?

I want to do a little shooting with some relatives and would like proper guidance on stowage of said firearms.Does the ammo need to be in a separate locked container?

Thanks!

Yes, KY issues a CC permit/license but that is because you can OC in KY without a permit. So if you wanted to OC you would be perfectly legal.

On long guns, I'm not 100% sure, but from what I can see in KY law there is no prohibition against loaded long guns.

You can carry concealed if you have a permit.

Anyone over the age of 18 can carry open.

You can carry a loaded AR-15 in your car.

You can carry in a restaurant that serves alcohol.

You can carry in a state park.

You can carry a switchblade.

You don't have to wear a helmet to ride a motorcycle.

I live close to the border. Before I moved here I looked at houses on both sides of the border. When I studied the laws it was a no-brainer.
