Last yr. it was $21.99 at Sportsmans Warehouse and gun shops were selling it for around $25. Yea, i know last yr. 7.63x39 was 1/2 the price of what is now!

22.95 @ The Reloaders Bench I believe. I don't think I've paid over 24.00 for a box of 50 yet.

Don't trust CTD. They are some price gouging mofos.

Thanks, that is more like it, strange thing is that a few months ago i was thinking that the x28 was the only ammo i knew of, which really had not gone up at all, even though all others went up 30-50%! But i had not looked for any in a while!

5.7x28

SS198 runs about $35 per box

SS197 runs about $22 per box

SS195 runs about $22 per box

That is what I normally pay for mine.

Original post was 21 months ago, back when ammo panic was on.

Resurrecting this due to the fact the link says no longer available. The 5.7 is getting dam hard to find. Guess that makes up my mind about getting a 5.56. Unless someone knows where to get this ammo. On target says the only special order it. Last time I could only get one box. That's only one mag for the ps.

I bet you could loar this caliber for under .15 each

Give it 5 or 10 years...and there will be not much choice but to reload this caliber....

I finally shot an FN 57, yesterday, and couldn't believe how hot that little rascal was. Reloading it would be a good

idea. I asked the guy about the ammo and he said it was in the 20-30 buck range. I felt better. May even buy one.

You could really say that about any caliber, right now, considering current events.

any large rifle caliber will set you to reloading. Even common stuff is .75 to $1 per shot. If you have something exotic $2 or 3 per shot. And it is pure price fixing --- it costs no more to make obsolete rounds than 30-06 in materials.

It isn't the materials, it is the setup costs as well as the fact they have to shut a line that is making popular ammo to make ammo that may or may not sell as well. That is why 22 shorts now cost so much. Not as much of a demand for them so it costs more because they don't reap the rewards immediately.

well I found a way around the ammo price for this....traded the ps90 for a windham mp in 5.56. The ps90 was a sweet little gun. very accurate and reliable. But I have always wanted another AR in 5.56. lol.
