Well, I got down to Hero Gear today. I was sent down to Winchester for work, and figured that I should drop by Hero Gear on my lunch break. "Maybe I'll get a hat", I said. Little did I know that somehow, some way I would walk out with this:

That's an NRA version Smith and Wesson 642 PowerPort...and a hat. I've been looking for a 642 lately, and Joe set me up with this one. I haven't gotten to shoot it yet, maybe tomorrow. I'm happy though, and the trip to Hero Gear was a lot of fun. Thanks guys!

TDR, you're right about making a person spend money. I actually looked at this gun and passed on it, then by the time I walked around the store, picked up a hat, and talked to Joe a bit I found myself filling out a 4473.

Oh well. My checkbook is just thankful I didn't bring home one of the .50s they have. Yet.
