Glock Sport/Combat Holster Mod

I put this together over 10yrs ago. It's a "Glock Sport/Combat Holster" with an Uncle Mike's Clip J.B. Welded on. No. Never wore it in public. Just while out plinking in the sticks. Anyway - Dug it up last week, and really liking it. It's pretty comfortable, adds minimal bulk, and should be cooler than a big leather one during the summer months... The clip is very secure. I was in the process of taking the clip off until i realized how well it was sticking. It draws really well with the right belt too.

Do you guys see any issues with it? Legal or otherwise?

Great idea. I've always liked the Glock holster, but don't wear mine anymore. Sounds like a good rainy day project.

Any changes you would make to it before I get out the JB Weld?

Thanks, man :)

Might be some better adhesive than J.B. Weld these days(?) It has really held up well, but might be worth researching alternatives... I did roughen up the holster and the clip pretty good if i remember correctly. And let the JB weld bead up around the edge of the clip.... Some of the newer Glock holsters i have seen online appear to have a pebbled texture that could help(?)

If this one gives me any problems, i may try leaving some plasic on the sides, and finding some other hooks/clips to put on either side. But i really like the simplicity of the way it is now.

Will post back if any other ideas come to mind. Please post back if you come up with some alternatives too :)

edit:

I would put little gashes in the holster rather than roughing it up with sandpaper or something... Might be possible to drill some little holes in the clip too(?)

Reminds me of the IWB Galco holster that I modified into a tuckable holster by sewing on a clip backing from an old cell phone case.

Guess i'll be carrying in this holster a good bit :) Especially since my instructor last night (HCP class) has one little gun that he carries iwb w/o any kind of holster. I don't see myself ever doing that though. Definitely not with my Glock :drama:

I feel sure it will not fly at RangeUSA for the Street Handgun course i'm hoping to take :-\
