Car Guys

Working on two projects. Working meaning I’m throwing money at them.
1st project, 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Wife’s car,

All cosmetics- need minor touch up bodywork, the front clip painted, pearl white and some weatherstripping around the roll up windows.

2nd project, Dropped a valve in my Dad’s 289 Mustang. Demolished the piston and broke through the cylinder wall. I’ve built a couple of 289s before and really just to lazy to get into it. Looking for a long block 289/302 or turn key with preferably 300+ horsepower. I’ve got about enough energy and enthusiasm to install it. I did put a T5 in it last summer so it’s ready for a few more horses.
So, any names come to mind as to who the go to guy or gal is that can help check these off my list so I can go back to shooting on the weekends?

Thanks.

Good luck with 3000, that is an overlooked awesome machine.

eBay motors would be on my radar for parts and pieces.

Thanks,it was in excellent shape before my wife started letting our son drive it when he was 16. Fast forward 10 years and she wants to start driving it on sunny days again.

After the RX-7 FD, the Mitsubishi 3000 was my favorite body of the 90's Japanese invasion. Great looking cars and some super cool tech for its day, especially the VR-4 with the active aero.
