Gatlinburg Carry?

I am very glad this bill got passed... I was tired of hoping I did not get pulled over on my way to Cherokee and Gatlinburg!

To be precise, it wasn't a bill enacted by Congress, nor a presidential order.

It was simply a revision of Dept. of the Interior rules.

I'm not clear on just what the impetus was behind it, really. I don't think Dubya pushed it?

I know I will feel much better going on hikes there next month. I always worried about being a few miles off a road and running into a wild animal or a BG without being able to carry.

true, I enjoy riding my motorcycle there, but always was afraid that I would break down or stop for a break and there would be some bg there and me not being able to carry (because I am a law abiding citizen) and the BG is able to carry b/c he is NOT!

So, I looked on the Cherokee Nation site and from what I could see, it says absolutely nothing about gun carry except that you cannot carry when committing a crime, using drugs, etc.

man, that's bull:poop:. A bunch of frickin libs doing their best to put us under their thumbs. It kinda reminds me of a quote. I think we could settle the whole debate about what the founding fathers meant by the 2nd Ammendment. "Americans [have] the right and advantage of being armed -- unlike citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust people with arms." -James Madison

Well, I'd say by now there are a LOT of folks nationwide carrying in National Parks, and probably not many of them even know about this injunction crap, so I dunno where it's all going, or if there's any attempt at communicating the change in the parks, or what...also, right now it's a "temporary" injunction, so maybe it will only last a matter of days till things change again, like some other recent gun-related stuff from the bowels of D.C.

as usual, the Fed Gummit: doing badly what need not be done at all.
